Ultrasonic Flowmeters

Ultrasonic Flowmeters are advanced, non-intrusive instruments used to measure the flow rate of liquids and, in some cases, gases within a pipe using ultrasonic sound waves. These flowmeters are valued for their accuracy, versatility, and ability to operate without interrupting the flow or cutting into the pipeline, making them ideal for a wide range of industries including water and wastewater, oil and gas, chemical processing, HVAC, and energy management.

Ultrasonic flowmeters work by transmitting high-frequency sound waves through the fluid. By measuring the time it takes for the sound waves to travel with and against the flow direction, the meter calculates the velocity of the fluid and determines the flow rate. There are two main types of ultrasonic flowmeters: transit-time (for clean liquids) and Doppler (for fluids with particulates or bubbles).
